War of the Worlds disappointment and more Europe Pictures up
ok, so, I went to Wasaga for Canada Day with English and co. and well, they had a very different view than I do about what to do at the beach. I thought we'd swim, and just chill out on the beach, maybe play some ball too. but they did not want to go swimming, nor did they want to even step onto the beach. Instead, we spent the day walking along the strip checking out girls and what not. Which is fine and all, but you can do that anywhere. Hell, we can go to Wild Water Kingdom and do that. Anyways, we didn't really do a whole lot or even get anything accomplished. Oh well...we still had some fun and some laughs, which is always good.
Saturday, I went out with some other Maltoners. Namely Martin, Aura, and Chris. we went to check out War of the Worlds, which by the previews looked amazing. I can only say, that the first 15 minutes of the film wasn't that bad. But every minute from there on was like someone stabbing me in the brain with a fork...a dull fork. The movie is just so terrible. The characters are annoying, the plot doesn't make sense, the ending is anticlimatic, the story isn't believeable....and just a whole slew of things that make this one of the worst movies (if not the worst) that I've seen in 2005. I'm not one to ruin movies, so I won't get into too much detail, but I'll see about creating a little spolier link to express my extreme dislike for this film. I even asked the manager if I could get my money back, but they explained that I couldn't.
After the movie, we headed over to Moxie's and had a late night snack. I got a salmon sandwich and a spinich salad that were damn good. The funniest thing is when Chris tried to order his meal. He has a pretty strict diet and so it was hard to find a meal that could cater to him. The staff was extremely nie and understanding about it though. They did the best they could to accomodate him, and in the end he got some spicey chicken wings, which did him just fine.
Today, Sunday (well, today's technically Monday, but I'm treating it still as Sunday), I went to work out in the morning, came home, and did jackshit. I watched In Good Company again to get rid of any reminince of WOW that was still lodged in my brain. it wasn't good enough. So, I watched Sideways, which is always worth watching, and that did the trick.
I also uploaded some new pictures of my Europe trip that Kishen sent to me. I went through them and just laughed myself silly. I sure do miss it. Can't wait for the next big adventure. The link to all 10 albums can be found at: http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=vpy2o97.b0pzf0b&x=1&y=-ms0v25. If you want to see them without having to login, just give me a shout, and I'll send you the other link. I'm just weary of total strangers checking me out w/o me knowing.
Lately I've been eating a lot more salad and fruit. I've usually stayed away from this type of herbivorous behaviour, but recently I'm finding the change enjoyable. I still eat quite a bit of meat, but I compliment the meal with a little side salad which makes me feel good...mentally that is. I don't know if I'm benifitting physically, but mentally, I think I'm healthier.
