My New Job

ok, so what happened with my last post is that I had been working on it for weeks. I kept wriing some of it, and then saving the draft, and then time would go by, so I would erase it and rewrite it. I decided to just post it so that I can start anew with this post.

So, I think I mentioned that I was going to have a second interview at BMO Capital Markets? Well, I had it. I did well, as usual. I had 4 interviews spanning 2 hours. They didn't really ask me many questions, so I had to ask them questions that in turn would allow me to hit my key points. Anyways, as you can infer from the title, I got the job!

HR called me this afternoon, telling me the good news. The salary isn't as high as i wanted, but from what I heard the bonus is really good. They accomodated my trip to HK so I won't have to start until the week after I come back. They had said they wanted someone ASAP to start in December, but I guess they were flexible.

So, now I have a bunch of forms I need to fill out, I still have to pack, and I have to go downtown tomorrow to sign my offer letter. It's all very last minute, but it seems that everything is working out well.

The Day I Stopped Titling My Post With "The Day etc. etc."

Before I start rambling about the goings on about my life, I've decided to stop titling my post with "The Day I blah blah blah", mainly because it's too hard thinking about things to put, and because who cares. And now, onto my life...

I'm officially unemployed. I've been unemployed for 1 week, and in spite of not having any income, I've decided to spend all my money on travelling around.

I went to Cuba a few weeks ago which was pretty relaxing. I spent most of the time either at the beach or eating. Did a little drinking, a little dancing, and played some sports.

Last week I went to NYC to visit Mohammed and Ano, do some shopping, and take Jenn to her NYU interview. It was fun to hang out in NYC with Mohammed and Ano. We got an off-broadway play called Altar Boyz which was funny. It's about this christian boy band trying to save the audience from their sins. It's actually not as bad as it sounds. Not great, but not bad. Jenn's interview also went pretty good. From the sounds of it, she shouldn't have a problem getting in. Of course, there's still other schools she has to hear from, so, who knows where she'll end up.

For the next few days, I'll be preparing myself for my second interview at BMO and packing for my trip to Hong Kong.
